Drei Rana

Drei Raña may not be the first musician who started doing covers online but this promising young singer-songwriter has his own path to conquer.  From posting acoustic covers that gained millions of views each to working on his own music, Drei Raña has more than just the perfect name for pop stardom but a talent to succeed.

 

Nearly 55 thousand subscribers on YouTube and close to 650 thousand Facebook followers, Drei initially performed and uploaded songs when he was 19. One of his well-received works is the popular song titled “Your Song,” a cover from the band Parokya Ni Edgar done in raw guitar playing skills. Later, Drei caught the attention of the well-known Filipino talk show host Boy Abunda who adopted Drei under his artist management agency.

 

And the rest was history.

 

Drei is about to take the biggest break of his musical career and signed with one of the biggest record labels in the Philippines, PolyEast Records, joining talents like Martin Nievera, Bamboo, Glaiza de Castro, TJ Monterde and Sassa Dagdag.

 

In March 2018, Drei releases his first-ever single called “Ligaya.” The song was composed by Drei and shows his ability to write songs that connect with listeners worldwide and gained millions of streams online.  It was followed up by his latest single “Walang Labis Walang Kulang”.

 

“This phase of my career will be a big challenge for me. I have always been known as doing covers online but this time, I’m taking this game to a new level with original compositions,” he said.

 

Drei studied at the University of Santo Tomas took up BS Travel Management. He also became Mr. Tourism and Mr. UST in the year 2016. Aside from writing songs or singing with his guitar, he also enjoys beatboxing and dancing.
