Chan Millanes

Chan Daniel Vinzon Millanes, commonly known as “Chan Millanes”, is a 15-year-old singer and songwriter hailed from the City of Davao. Growing up in a musically inclined family, Chan was exposed to music as early as five years old when he became a part of a church choir. He considers this place to be his first musical playground.

In 2017, Chan, together with his 17-year-old brother Christian Millanes, flew all the way from Davao to Manila after getting into The Voice Teen PH’s blind audition as a duo. Performing their rendition of the hit rap song “Gayuma” by Abra, Coach Lea Salonga was a sure chair-turner for what she heard. Unfortunately, Coach Lea revealed at that exact moment that she only wanted Chan to be a part of her mentees. Hard as it may seem for the duo to decide in front of live television, Christian gave way for his younger brother’s dreams.

After his journey in The Voice Teens, Chan was then signed under a talent management agency, which paved way for him become as one of PolyEast Records’ new breed of recording artists. His upcoming debut single “Tuldok” via PolyEast Records is a song he wrote about a fall out of friendship that led to many questions left unanswered.  According to Chan, a mere period or “tuldok” from the other end of a relationship would be a good closure to any vague fall outs. He also considers this single as a universal message disguised as a love song.

Regarding himself as an introvert, Chan gets inspiration in writing songs through his self-internalization and through his personal experiences. On the other hand, the music of OPM artists like Daryl Ong, James Reid and South Border are also his inspirations when it comes to his sound.
